In the third quarter of 2022, the top five food delivery service applications in Nigeria showed varied performance metrics in terms of downloads and active users. Here’s a detailed look based on data from Sensor Tower.

Jumia Food - Food delivery saw a consistent trend in weekly downloads, starting at around 9.8K in late June and peaking at 12.7K by the end of August. The app maintained a strong presence with weekly active users ranging from 90K to over 102K throughout the quarter.

Glovo: Food Delivery and more experienced a gradual increase in weekly downloads, reaching a high of approximately 10.3K in late July. The app's weekly active users also showed a steady rise, starting from 30.5K at the beginning of Q3 and peaking at 36.5K by the end of September.

Gokada Superapp saw fluctuating weekly downloads, starting from 5.4K in late June and peaking at 6.4K in mid-July. By the end of September, downloads slightly decreased to around 5.9K. The app’s data did not provide insights into weekly active users.

Bolt Food had a varied download trend, with an initial peak of 8.6K in early July, followed by a decrease to 3K-4K range towards the end of Q3. The active users ranged from 20K to 24K, showing a slight decline mid-quarter but ending strong in late September.

Kwik Delivery showed significant growth in weekly downloads, peaking at approximately 8.9K in late August. However, there was a noticeable drop in early September, with downloads declining to around 1.9K. The app’s data did not include weekly active users.
